10 creative ways to display your collection
Play with height

One very popular way to display more ponies in less space is to utilize the vertical space on shelves that is often left empty. This can be accomplished very easily with the use of some appropriately shaped or modified boxes and other packaging. (Velveta cheese boxes make a very good stand.) Some people choose to even go so far as to cover the boxes in wrapping paper or decoative fabrics. Play with different sized boxes and even try stacking boxes to create more depth and show more ponies at once.
Round N Round

We came across this cool idea from DaffyDilly over at the MLPArena. We think it's a splendid idea for displaying ponies on, and it would be even cooler if it actually spun around. This would be easy enough for any interested collector to make with a couple toilet paper rolls and extra cardboard cut out in small, medium and large sized circles. Also adds some new dimension to any pony room. Great for flutter ponies, as pictured, and we think it'd look rock'in with some merry-go-round ponies as well.
Pony Loyalty

An interesting and fun thing to do in your pony room if you have 1 particlar favorite pony is to display all variations of that pony in it's own special area. You can showcase several different poses, moms and babies of the same pony, nirvana variants and customs of that character all together in their own special showplace. Only requirement for this one is CHOOSING just one pony to be your favorite!
Line the Walls!

If you have the luxury of devoting an entire room in your house to being a pony room, this is a fun and impressive way to display your collection. You'll need lots of shelving which you can buy at any home improvement store, or make your own if you're so inclined! The key here is to space them at just the right heights for your ponies so there isn't a lot of blank space between shelves. That'll save room for more ponies and looks very impressive too!
Display by Color

This can be fun for the collector who isn't set on keeping certain groups of ponies together. Arranging your ponies by color can create a dramatic effect in your pony room. Talk about walking into a room of rainbows! The only decision you'll need to make is whether to arrange them by body or hair color!
Playset Displays

If you can get your hands on one of the many pony playsets, they can be a very cute and lively way to display a group of ponies. The playset doesn't even have to necessarilly be a My Little Pony playset, a Barbie or even a Littlest Pet Shop display would work great for My Little Ponies and Ponyville ponies!
Safely Behind Glass

If you have the resources or access to shelves with glass doors, this can be a very elegant way to display your collection. Gives it more of a valuable looking feel and keeps the dust (and pets) off your ponies. If you don't have money to buy new glass door shelving you may be able to find some fun vintage pieces at garage sales and flea markets that you could maybe paint to match your pony room!
Hang 'em by the.... Hoof?

Many of the G3's came with small magnets in one of their hooves. A great to showcase ponies if you have some metal areas around the house or your pony room. Really lets you see their gorgeous flowing manes in action! One word of advice though, keep these magnetic fillies well away from computers!
Pony Peg Board

This is a fun one! Want to feel like you own your own pony store? Hang up your mint in box ponies on a peg board! You can find hooks that will allow you to hangs sets of 4, 5 if you squish it. This allows you to store more ponies in less space and looks pretty cool as well! Fits perfectly inside a converted closet space too. Peg board and the hooks are pretty inexpensive at any local home improvement store.
Make a Scene

This is one of the most fun-to-look-at ways to display your ponies. This works best for ponyville and smaller ponies. Take your ponies, all their accessories etc. and create a fun scene. You could make a bustling little town, and romantic couple, wedding scene, super flying ponies, whatever your heart desires. Makes for great pictures and there's always lots to look at and capture the imaginations of your pony room visitors!
